GOVERNMENTS

Governments play a defining role in enabling the multilateral mechanism for Digital Sequence Information at national level, from being invited to take administrative, policy or legislative measures to incentivize contributions to the global fund to ensuring that DSI databases they host or sponsor support transparency and participation.

Developing country parties, in particular the least developed countries and small island developing States, and Parties with economies in transition, will receive direct allocations from the Cali Fund.

196 governments can take administrative, policy, or legislative actions to incentivize large commercial users of Digital Sequence Information (DSI) to contribute to the Cali Fund.
