Announced at COP30, the first contribution to the Cali Fund marks a significant milestone in the global effort to advance fair and equitable benefit‑sharing from the use of digital sequence information (DSI).

TierraViva has become the first company worldwide to make an official financial contribution to the Fund, setting an important precedent for private‑sector leadership in biodiversity support.

Despite being a small company, TierraViva’s contribution proves that companies of any size — small, medium or large — can contribute to the Cali Fund and it demonstrates that the fund is fully operational and ready to channel resources toward indigenous peoples and local communities, the frontline stewards of biodiversity.
