COP16 also launched several work streams to further refine the mechanism, including the creation of an Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on Allocation Methodology, the establishment of a multi-stakeholder Steering Committee, and the creation of a dedicated Secretariat to support operational functions.
