Nature-recovery AI company Verna contributes to the Cali Fund

Verna, a UK-based company providing an AI-powered software platform for nature programmes, has joined the Cali Fund’s growing group of contributors.

More than 100 organizations use Verna’s platform to plan, manage, monitor, and collaborate on over 10,000+ nature recovery projects.

“Verna is proud to contribute to the Cali Fund because our missions are aligned,” said Rafi Cohen, CEO of Verna. “We want to support the work of the Cali Fund directly, through contributions, and indirectly, through our AI technology, to support the integrity of ecosystems for future generations.”

Their software helps nature programmes do restoration better with the same resources, allowing users to assess data across multiple contexts, act on risks and opportunities, and communicate impact to decision makers, investors, and stakeholders. Verna has recently been selected for the World Economic Forum’s UpLink innovation programme.

Contributions to the Cali Fund help share benefits back to nature and its custodians. At least half of its resources are designated for indigenous peoples and local communities for their self-identified needs. The remainder supports developing countries in delivering their national biodiversity commitments.
